Great for the family, and also as gifts!
Being a herding breed, and one of the most intelligent breeds, they require much of the owner's attention.
Please go to the page, "So you think you want a Border Collie," read, and think about whether this is a dog for you. They are wonderful personalities, but not right for everyone.
It is our sole purpose and intent to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs who have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, on heartworm and flea/tick preventative, and microchipped.
Rescue dogs aren't broken.
They've experienced more of life than other dogs.
If they were human, we would call them wise.
They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write.
The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage.
Don't pity a rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have
their greatness by your side.
In most cases, the adoption donation for dogs from Ewenity Farms is $250. This donation may vary depending on the needs of the dog. The adoption donation for puppies under 1 year old are $300 plus a $50 refundable spay/neuter deposit. The adoption donation for our senior dogs is $150. Senior dogs are over 7 years of age.
The adoption process for Ewenity Farm Herding Dog Haven is as follows:
First, you will fill out an adoption application. All questions must be completed before the application is reviewed.
Your application will be reviewed as quickly as possible. This process usually takes a few days. Please remember we have a busy schedule outside of the rescue. We work full time, and compete frequently with our own dogs. Our goal is to match you with the best dog.
If you have shown interest in a specific dog, their needs will also be taken into consideration when we review your application, to see if they will fit your lifestyle and home.
Second, if you are approved to adopt the dog, the Adoption Contract must be filled out and signed in person before the dog can leave the rescue for its new home.
If you have any questions, please contact us and we will be happy to answer them.
